Why non-penetrating

Your Roof Does Not Need Another Hole In It

Most rooftop fall protection is bolted through the deck. Every one of those penetrations is a potential leak, and on a roof still under manufacturer warranty it can be enough to void coverage. BlueWater systems are counterweighted. They sit on the roof surface, held by their own mass, distributing load across the membrane instead of cutting through it.

Penetrating Systems

  • Bolted through the roof deck.
  • Every penetration is a leak path.
  • Can void an active roof warranty.

BlueWater Non-Penetrating

  • Counterweighted, sits on the surface.
  • No holes, no flashing, no leak path.
  • Warranty stays intact.
  • Can be relocated or reconfigured later.

Solutions

Four Hazards, Four Systems

Rooftop Guardrail

Free-standing counterweighted rail for roof edges, setbacks and perimeter walkways. The permanent passive solution where people work near an unprotected edge.

Warning Line Systems

Compliant demarcation that keeps workers back from the edge without a full guardrail install. Faster and cheaper where the work is occasional.

Skylight Protection

Screens and rails over skylights and smoke vents, the single most commonly missed rooftop fall hazard.

Roof Hatch Safety Rails

Self-closing rail assemblies around hatch openings so the opening is protected whether the hatch is up or down.

Why people call us

What Usually Starts the Conversation

  • An OSHA inspection or an insurance audit flagged an unprotected roof edge or an unguarded skylight.
  • A contractor or service vendor will not go on the roof until there is fall protection in place.
  • A corporate EHS standard was rolled out and now every site in the portfolio has to comply.
